Charles Stanley announces sponsorship of The Boodles Classique
The Boodles Classique, the North West’s most exclusive grass court tennis tournament, held it’s Liverpool launch on Wednesday at the Boodles store on Lord Street and announced that leading Liverpool stockbroker and investment management company Charles Stanley is the latest organisation to ace a sponsorship deal for 2012. The sponsorship will be split between the two divisional offices – Charles Stanley (stockbroking) and CS Financial Solutions – Charles Stanley’s Corporate Benefits and Employee Wealth Management arm.
The Boodles Classique will take place from 14th – 16th June at De Vere Mottram Hall in Cheshire. Featuring world class tennis legends, the event is a key date in the entertainment calendar for the North West corporate market.
Around 80 of the great and the good of the North West joined Boodles and Charles Stanley at the store along with 1996 Wimbledon Champion Richard Krajicek, who flew in from Amsterdam for the celebration, and will be part of the team of tennis legends palying at Mottram Hall in June.
Charles Stanley brought their iTab to Boodles, and held a live Skype chat from Liverpool to Geneva with other Boodles Classique players Mark Phillippoussis and Henri Leconte, who wanted to be part of the celebrations!
Speaking about the sponsorship, Paul McGuckin Managing Director of CS Financial Solutions commented: “It is a great pleasure to be involved with The Boodles Classique as both the Charles Stanley Stockbroking and CS Financial Solutions businesses are all about client facing interaction and service. We feel that the tournament will provide us with the perfect platform for entertaining clients and potential clients. The association with Boodles and our fellow premium sponsors was also key to our decision to become involved and we are very proud to be aligned with top marque brands in the North-West. We look forward to a long association and an outstanding tournament in June.”
Vicky Collins, tournament director of The Boodles Classique, said: ‘We’re delighted that Charles Stanley has come on board as an associate sponsor, and they are joining a fantastic stable of brands.
She continued: ‘Sponsorship deals such as these are crucial to the success of the tournament and allow us to continue to deliver the premium event in the North West.’
Following the inaugural event in 2011, The Boodles Classique has netted a handful of key sponsorship deals including Etihad Airways, Manchester Airport and The Warren. They join existing sponsors Blue Bell BMW, Slazenger Heritage, Roche Bobois, Bang & Olufsen Wilmslow and Veuve Clicquot who, with new sponsor Charles Stanley, are all taking ‘advantage’ of working with such a prestigious event.
